Update Facebook Places Privacy Settings
Privacy settings for Facebook Places are now available. Be sure to visit Account>Privacy Settings, then click on Customize Settings and verify that Places I Check In makes your information available to only the people you want. I chose Custom, selected Specific People from the These People drop down list, added the lists I have set up of people I know to the box, then clicked the Save Setting button. You should also decide if you want your check ins to be visible in People Here Now using the Include me in "People Here Now" after I check in checkbox. One thing I noticed right away in these setting is that I can't chose to make my check ins visible in People Here Now to only specific people, which makes me wonder what the point of the Places I Check In setting is. You may want to chose to disable this functionality until it's clear what the Places-related privacy settings actually do.
