Researcher will enable hackers to take over millions of home routers

Seismic's Craig Heffner will announce a router hack for devices running certain DD-WRT and OpenWRT Linux-based firmware that he's discovered at the Black Hat 2010 conference next week. Hopefully, Cisco and other companies using this firmware will release a patch that addresses it quickly and publicize it widely. In the meantime, make sure you're not using your default password on your router.
